CBD FAQ | Frequently Asked Questions about CBD Oil
Do I need a medical card for CBD?

You do not. As long as you’re above the age of 18 in the U.S., you can purchase CBD and have it sent directly to your home.

How do I use CBD tincture?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is new to many people, so lots of people are wondering how to ingest CBD oil effectively. Everyone’s sensitivity to CBD varies, so we encourage you to pay attention to your body and adjust accordingly.

  • We always suggest starting off with a small amount (2-5 drops) and adjusting the amount as you get to know your body’s response to our CBD tincture. Half to a full dropper is a fairly standard dose for many adults.
  • If you’d like to speak with us for suggestions on amounts, feel free to contact our friendly Customer Service team at 720-295-7501.
Do you ship out of state?

Yes, we do, and this is why:

  1. Section 7606 of the Farm Bill of 2014, announced the ability to legally produce hemp tested by the Department of Agriculture to have less than 0.3% THC. Meanwhile, the Omnibus Bill prohibits the Department of Justice from stopping the transit of hemp products protected by the Farm Bill Section 7606. If you ever experience any issues with receiving a package, please reach out to our customer service team.
  2. While hemp oil, dietary hemp seeds and other hemp products are legal in all 50 states, it is still not legal to grow hemp in every state. Make sure your hemp is from a reliable source! All of our hemp is grown on certified farms to ensure a clean, naturally grown product.
Do you ship internationally?

At this time, we only ship within the United States.

Can I bring CBD on a plane?

Bringing CBD oil on a plane is often seen as a legally gray area, so we advise you to act with caution. The hemp plant is still considered federally prohibited, even though CBD is recognized as a non-psychoactive substance.

Flying within the U.S., the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) currently lists products containing CBD oil as prohibited. However, even if they question your CBD, they merely turn over the matter to local law enforcement, which may have a different ruling.

Can you pass drug testing using CBD oil?

Our products are manufactured using full spectrum hemp oil, defined by the Colorado Department of Agriculture as “a plant of the genus Cannabis and any part of the plant, whether growing or not, containing a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration of no more than three-tenths of one percent (0.3%) on a dry weight basis”.

Since each product may contain up to 0.3% THC, there’s a possibility that consumption of the product could possibly trigger a positive drug test, especially when consumed in large quantities. Please consult with a medical professional prior to purchasing our products.

How do I know how much CBD I am getting in my products?

All of our products labels are clearly marked with the amount of CBD they contain.

Are there CBD oil side effects?

CBD is known for being gentle and balanced in how it feels, so CBD/hemp oil side effects aren’t known to be much of an issue. Many people ask “Will CBD get me high?” They are happy to find out that it won’t. You cannot get high from consuming hemp, which makes it ideal for people with a diverse range of body types, lifestyles and needs.

How is CBD oil made?

At F2P, we use the finest Colorado-grown hemp, certified by the Department of Agriculture. Using proprietary state-of-the-art machinery, we carefully extract the medicinal ingredients, while removing the plant matter, lipids and other unwanted components. We meticulously lab test each batch of products to ensure purity and potency every step of the way.

Can you overdose on CBD oil?

CBD is incredibly gentle on the body and doesn’t have a documented toxic overdose level the way that many pharmaceutical products do. In thousands of years of use, there are no reported cases of death from consuming any quantity. You’d have to ingest roughly the amount of a telephone pole just to start getting close to unhealthy amounts, which would be an impressive (and quite impossible) feat.

Are your products THC free?

Our products are manufactured using full-spectrum hemp extractions, defined by the Colorado Department of Agriculture as “a plant of the genus Cannabis and any part of the plant, whether growing or not, containing a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration of no more than three-tenths of one percent (0.3%) on a dry weight basis”. In simple terms, all our products may contain up to 0.3% THC, which does not promote any psychoactive effects. We carefully test each batch to ensure it is never above that amount.

Isolate vs. full-spectrum CBD. What’s the difference?

CBD isolate and full-spectrum CBD products have some distinct differences.

  • What is CBD isolate?
CBD isolate is made with a process that removes all other components, including plant matter and trace cannabinoids, resulting in a crystalline substance that contains only CBD.
  • What is full-spectrum CBD?
Full-spectrum CBD is often seen as a more effective formulation. Not only does it contain CBD itself, but it also has very small amounts of the other cannabinoids, supporting the entourage effect.

Both products have their place. Some people enjoy using isolate because it’s available in a powder form. Others believe full-spectrum CBD offers greater effectiveness.

What is the Entourage Effect?

The Entourage Effect describes how cannabinoids can work together more effectively than isolated elements on their own – much like the old adage “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” Formulations made with a broad range of cannabinoids are often preferred by people who struggle with serious pain and illness.

Can I have an allergic reaction to CBD oil?

Before trying any sort of new food, supplement or product, it’s always wise to try a little bit first and make sure your body does well with it. While CBD oil isn’t known for generally stimulating an allergic response, we encourage you to proceed with care if you tend to have allergy issues.

Are any pesticides used on the plant matter used to manufacture the products?

We work with some of the best farms and do not allow pesticides into our products. Everything we create is made with a focus on purity and safety. We use the finest quality essential oils, to ensure a powerful, reliable natural product.

How do I store CBD products?

To maximize the shelf life of your product, please store in a cool, dry place like your medicine cabinet. You can also store the liquid products at room temperature or chilled in the refrigerator.

Is hemp the same as marijuana?

Hemp and marijuana are different plants. While they are each part of the cannabis family and look very similar, they have very different qualities.

  • Hemp belongs to the species Cannabis sativa L, and contains 0.3% or less of the psychoactive compound delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
  • Hemp plants usually have significantly more cannabidiol (CBD).
  • Marijuana plants can contain 5% to 20% THC, and are highly psychoactive.
  • Marijuana is only legal in certain states, and is not used in our products.
What’s the environmental impact of hemp?

Hemp is incredibly eco-friendly, even benefitting the soil it’s grown in! According to Canada’s Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food, hemp matures in just 3 to 4 months and absorbs carbon dioxide about 5 times more efficiently than trees. While cotton needs lots of water, chemical fertilizers and toxic pesticides, hemp can be grown organically with far less water, while producing excellent fibers for clothes. Hemp returns nitrogen and nutrients to the soil, enriching the earth for future crops while helping prevent soil erosion and mudslides.

Where can I learn more about CBD research?

Hemp has been used in herbal medicine around the world for thousands of years, but the scientific community has only recently begun seriously researching it. The National Cancer Institute, for example, offers links to some promising research on CBD for analgesic and anti-inflammatory support, among other qualities.

Project CBD offers links to an extensive collection of clinical and scientific studies that name CBD as a potential support for more than 20 different medical conditions, including arthritis, acne, alcoholism, chronic pain, diabetes, depression, epilepsy, MS, PTSD, Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia and other neurological disorders.

We’re excited for all this research to lead the way towards new, natural ways to help people. Keep asking questions, engage in conversation in your community, and educate those near and dear to you!

Are all CBD products pretty much the same?

Not at all! As with any product, the source and the quality of ingredients matters. We trace all of our hemp from the farms where it is grown to our labs. Our quality standards are far from universal. If you’re not careful, you may be paying for an inferior, less effective product. For instance, there are companies currently selling synthetic CBD products from China that are just a cheap imitation of real CBD.
